Their brand has incorporated pets from day one. Resident shop dog, Penny, is truly the face of the business and Jupmode has a merch collection that is just for pet owners. At one point, my own dogs had polaroids on their “puppers only” board. The Jupmode brand has combined the love of this city and the love of pets in a beautiful way.

We hope to share some holiday cheer through these adorable pet and family photos we took. We got to photograph adults, children, dogs and even a couple cats in front of our holiday sets. It was such a pleasure to connect with returning friends and new ones.
Pets are an integral part of many people’s lives and add deep meaning and value to their families. Pets can be our best friends; a member of the family and the annoying siblings or children we never knew we needed. We chose pet photography because we wanted to capture the unique personalities of pets, the cherished moments between them and their owner, and to draw attention to the bond that exists between them.
Homeless and feral cats are a truly colossale issue right now. To see a cat cafe open in the area, essentially a foster home for a number of adoptable cats, was so encouraging. I really enjoyed to meeting Tallie, the director, and all of the fluffs in their care.

We are always looking for new ways to learn, improve, and challenge ourselves as photographers and animal lovers. Having 4 goats in the studio was definitely that and more. I was well aware that having goats in the studio would not be practical and would be messy (I may have sat in pee) but documenting the beauty and personality of these animals was worth the effort.
“I think one of my favorite things is seeing the transformation with each horse. From being shut down, skinny, dull looking to becoming full of life and personality. They put weight on and have shine in their coat. That’s one of the best feelings.”

Any pet is a commitment to care for and protect. Their life is entirely dependent on you. Knowing what you are getting into as a pet owner is important for both you and the animal, so we strongly encourage anyone thinking about getting a new pet to do their research and never stop learning how to be the best caretaker possible.
We get to see the goofy bloopers from our sessions but we don’t often share them in our portfolio. It’s time to pull back the curtain and let you giggle with us over these truly adorable fails. Do we always get nice photos at our sessions? Yes. Is it easy or predictable? Never. Do the pets behave? Hardly!
I've worked with Jessica before, so I knew she'd be professional. She was engaged with Lola and made sure she was always comfortable. I had briefly mentioned that Lola has some neurological issues in the past, and she changed up her setup with no hesitation.
Often times, smaller animals get overlooked for the important role they play in our lives, and the joy they bring. Members of the rodent family have shorter life spans. There are people who think this gives them less value, but having a pet that is time-limited makes those moments even more precious.
Documenting senior pets is very important to me. As I see my own dogs aging, I can imagine how important their photos will be when they are gone. We don’t get as many years as we would like, but we can choose to capture their time with us through photos.
One of our goals this year is to work with new types of creatures. As Toledo pet photographers, we want to show that we are not limited to dogs and cats. We will photograph pets with scales, with feathers and even hairless ones. All your beloved family members deserve to be documented.
I was very excited to document a new breed of cattle. The characteristic that stood out to me about these Highlanders was their curiosity. These particular cattle are not very accustomed to being up close and personal with humans but that did not stop them from trying to investigate the camera or myself. Highland cattle are known for their friendly nature with humans.
Having a foster home in which to give birth, learn to care for the puppies, and recover can be a true life saving resource. Those foster families can be difficult to find. Signing up for one dog is a big commitment, imagine having one mom dog and fourteen puppies like this litter! Planned Pethood foster, Heather, shares some of her insight from opening her home to these families in need.
He will always be my baby boy and my 65lb weighted blanket. He brings so much joy and cheer into our lives. Also a lot of mischief and borking for attention, but his positive attributes are so worth it. Titan is all fun and games until someone is upset... He will climb on top of you and force you to pet him until you feel better.
Working with different animals shows me how each species has a variety of personalities and temperaments. The biggest thing that I have learned is to be patient and to have realistic expectations of an an animal.
