Time to choose a winner!
It’s that time again, time to vote and choose the winner of a photo shoot with us. We want to share the wonderful pets who are entered in our FLUFF-uary photo session giveaway. Though these 16 animals are all very worthy of photos, only one can win.
You may cast your vote once each day by filling out the form at the bottom of this post. Voting ends February 20th, 2026 at 11:59pm. Make sure to remind friends and family to vote everyday. If you want to know more about what we do, head over to the home page and click around!
1. Hera
Hera is a 6 year old American bully pitt mix. She LOVES all people and wearing clothes (or pretties as we call them). She also likes to play mom to foster kittens.
2. Roman
Roman is a 4 yr old Goldendoodle who loves to romp in the snow with his humans. He even bought a heavy coat for this winter so he can stay outside longer in the frigid temps. Roman is impatiently waiting for his little humans to come home from school so he can show them how awesome his igloo doghouse is.
3. Lavender
This is Lavender! She is a 3 year old Chocolate Lab. Lavender is a dock diver and loves to play in the water! She has so many personalities it’s absolutely ridiculous! I can take her anywhere and do anything with her and it is absolutely always the best time ever!
4. Snacks
This is Snacks! He is a 5 year old corgi. He lives his best life in Oregon, Ohio. Weighing about 5 rotisserie chickens and standing about 4 tall he was the 2024 Toledo Corgi race winner (don’t let the stubs fool you, he’s quick). He spends his days napping and playing fetch and snitching on his 2 cat sisters. He does not rest until the squeaker in his toy has been destroyed. He has successfully de-squeaked 5 lamb chops this year already. Record holding toy was a bone with a squeaker that lasted 10 minutes.
5. Beau
Beau came into our lives at just six weeks old, weighing only six ounces, the size of a one-week-old kitten. He was on the brink of death with severely infected eyes, but thanks to Lucas County Pit Crew, this little fighter pulled through. Though he’s now mostly blind, you’d never know it. We knew from the start he was staying with us. We found him on the third anniversary of my wife’s brother’s passing, and it felt like nothing short of a gift. Now two and a half years old, Beau is the goofiest, most fearless cat we’ve ever known. He doesn’t let his eyes stop him from just about anything besides running into doors. He’s also on the side of Humane Ohio’s truck!
6. Mr. Merv
12 year old rescued Redtick Coonhound, Mr. Merv. Adopted back in August after 2 yrs & 2 months total in 2 shelters. Mr. Merv was an extreme hoarding and abuse rescue from Indiana. Skin and bones, heartworm so bad his throat and heart are permanently damaged, and a poor screwed up brain from all the trauma and stress. It took up until around Christmas for my old man to finally start laying his head on me, sleep in my bed, and pick up his 1st toy { a $5 smiling latte from kroger ... he squeaks it to death } Mr . Merv has a little girlfriend as well and it melts my heart when she visits because I get to see my little old train wreck full of pure happiness. Mr. Merv and I have got a long way to go together to get him to where he deserves . Making and taking baby steps . I just hope that I can find the right help because I love this boy and he deserves nothing but happiness and love after all he's been through
7. Leia
This is our sweet old girl Leia! She is 11 or 12 and came to us as an adult. She was found as a stray in Monroe county and previous owners were contacted. They said they “didn’t want her” and surrendered her we’ve never understood how someone could say that because she’s the best girl ever, but we are so happy she made her way to us. She had a few cancerous tumors removed earlier this year and we are so glad she can continue to be the sweetest girl and best big sister to our younger dog. Leia loves 2 things more than anything: being with her people and snacks. Her special talent is catching literary any snack you throw at her. She is my little shadow, the most loving girl and would love a photoshoot!
8. Nala Mae
This is Nala Mae. She will be 4 years old in April but she’s still the baby. She is a mini Australian labordoodle. She loves to play with everyone she meets and always thinks everyone is there just for her. She loves to play wand eat treat. Although her allergy to chicken limits to what she can have. We got her as a puppy as we needed a hypoallergenic dog since a family member has sensitive allergies.
9. Darla Sue
This is Darla Sue. She is around 1.5 years old and is a pittie mix. She is the most lovable,bestest girl ever. She doesn’t meet anyone she doesn’t like except for a Winnie the Pooh statue that’s in a neighbors window. We rescued her back in August from the Humane Society after her being in a terrible situation. Her favorite thing to do is jump in the bathtub after each shower and drink each drop that comes out of the faucet.
10. Sabby
This is Sabby! She is an almost 3 years old possible shepherd/staffie mix. A mutt if you will lmao. Sabby, unfortunately not unlike a lot of pets didn’t have a great start, but you honestly couldn’t tell by the way she acts. She’s definitely not as cuddly as the rest, but her personality more than makes up for it and when she does wanna cuddle, you feel extremely grateful.
11. Cody
This is Cody the smartest, most loving Goldendoodle. We adopted him from LC4 in Oct 2024 when he was approximately 2 years old. He loves to play with his toys, go for walks, and curl up on the couch for a nice afternoon nap. We love our rescue!
12. George
This George! He is an eight month old Pitty mix. We’ve had him since August. He is  a rescue! He came from a really bad environment was very malnourished and he had a horrible skin issues. He is the sweetest dog ever! He is very kind to our special-needs dog Evie. He loves her & plays with her so gently and he’s always checking up on her. He also grooms her as well! He loves cleaning her ears. He loves us unconditionally and loves to snuggle with Evie and Lola and all of us. Wherever we are, he’s there with us.
13. Pearl Mae
This is Pearl Mae. She is a 8 year old poodle mix. Pearl is as sweet as they come. She gets along with any dog/puppy and she always seems to know how gentle or rough she can be with every dog. She loves to go with me to get her baby sister off of the school bus and say hi to all the kiddos at the bus stop. She is also a huge snugglebug and loves to take a nap on the bed with her favorite humans. Her most unique trait is how talkative she is- she loves rooing at us when she is excited to see us.
14. Alice
This is Alice! She is a 2 year old American Pit Bull Terrier. I rescued her about a year and a half ago and despite that she is the SWEETEST girl! She loves her cat, chicken and lizard siblings and is so gentle with them! She gives the best cuddles and loves being the "little spoon" at night
15. Chessie
Chessie would love her senior pictures taken she was left behind at an estimated 14-16 years old and is now living in a cat sanctuary.
16. Chance
Chance is a 1.5yo AKC Boston Terrier who loves going to work with his mom who owns Pet & Plant Nanny! Chance enjoys playing tug-of-war with his little sister, stealing socks, and learning new things! Chance had raised over $700 for Humane Ohio in 2025 & continues his passion for Charity work in 2026! His goal is to complete his Good Canine Citizenship
